Pai Gow Poker Online review

Pai Gow Poker is an enjoyable table game with a complex set of rules. Using the ancient Chinese game of Pai Gow, mixed with poker, Pai Gow Poker is now enjoyed not only by the Chinese, but increasingly the Western world too.

Using seven cards from a deck of 53; 52 plus the Joker, your hand must be divided into two separate hands of five and two card respectively. The five card hand, known as the Highest must outrank your two card hand, known as 2nd Highest. The five card hand is ranked in the same way as Poker, with the two card hand ranked by either a pair or two individual cards. Ace, Ace is the highest 2nd Highest hand possible.

As Pai Gow Poker is played with a Joker, this additional card works as an Ace or to complete a Straight, a Flush or a Straight Flush.

Pai Gow Poker House Way

House Way is a set of rules that the dealer will use to arrange their hands. When playing Pai Gow Poker online, you can use the House Way rules for your own hands by clicking the House Way button on the bottom of the screen.

Once both your hands and those of the dealers have been determined, the hands will be compared to one another to find the winner.

It is not too complicated to determine the winner; if the dealers Highest and 2nd Highest hands both beat yours then you lose. If one hand is higher and the other lower, it is a draw and your stake is returned. If both your Highest and 2nd Highest hands out rank the dealer, you win and are paid 1/1 (even money) minus 5% dealers commission. In the rare case of a tie, the dealer wins.

Pai Gow Poker is a firm favourite in the Asian community, and after you play a few hands and grasp the rules it is easy to see why.
