Cindereela review

I used to review pantomimes every Christmas so I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen ‘Cinderella’. It’s a tried and trusted story that always proves to be a big hit with people of all ages. Now we have a variation on the theme with ‘Cindereela’ from top slot designers Novomatic.

This is a five-reel game with three rows of attractive looking symbols and there’s ten paylines for you to try and get some good wins on. It’s up to you to decide just how many lines you play and at what stake. Baron Hardup would probably just have to play the one I reckon, Prince Charming would play them all at maximum stake. It’s all down to your personal budget so just work out one you feel entirely comfortable with and enjoy playing the game. Playing can cost from £0.04 to £100 so not a bad range Wins in this game pay from left to right apart from the scatter symbol, more about that in a moment.

The wild symbol here is Cindereela and it has the ability to substitute for all the other symbols apart from the scatter. This can get you some tasty wins so keep an eye out for that wild. Five of them on a payline pays you 10000x your line bet so no need to wait for a fairy godmother to come along with that cash in your bank. The scatter is the Fairy and plays a big part in getting you into the bonus game.

There’s a bright and colourful backdrop to the reels. We see a forest and in the distance the castle where the Prince will be holding his ball and fall in love with Cindereela.

Symbols include the Prince, Cindereela’s pet dog, mice, a pumpkin, and a pair of all-important red glass slippers that will change her life forever. We also get the nine to Ace playing card symbols that seem to have been given a bit of a regal look. Why no ugly sisters though or Buttons?

If you want to access lots more information about the game, don’t ask the Fairy Godmother but have a look through the paytable instead. That has all you need to know re winning combinations and how much they pay and the bonus games. Also have some free games and that’ll show you the game in operation before you start pumping real cash into the slot.

There’s an autoplay feature that allows you to set between ten and fifty automated spins. Handy if you want a little break from the screen or just can’t be bothered to have to keep pressing the start button.

Bonus Games

If you can get three or more of the scatter symbols you can get up to 30 free spins. When this happens the screen suddenly goes all magical and in the right hand side of the screen you’ll see a clock. Each click of that clock is one free spin and this determines just how many you’ll be playing with in the bonus game. The minimum is 12, the maximum 30 so whatever happens you’ll have a decent number to play with. The more the better as all wins during the free spins round are doubled. If that scatter symbol appears in triplicate again you can re-trigger the free spins.

The game also has a gamble feature and it really is a gamble playing it. This option arises once you’ve had a winning combination and isn’t at all compulsory which is a good job as this is an easy way of throwing away good wins. If you do play it, then it’s the usual case of correctly guessing the colour of the next playing card to double a win. It’s great if you can but get it wrong and wave goodbye to that win you just celebrated.

Conclusion

Hopefully this will be a fairy tale that has a happy ending for you. It’s an entertaining game with plenty of chances for you to get some good wins especially if you’re lucky with the clock and re-triggers. The symbols are excellent and the soundtrack won’t have you reaching for the mute button. Just be careful with the gamble feature and try your best to hold onto your precious wins.
