We’re used to playing games with five reels and there are some out there that have even more. Back in the day, three reel games were the order of the day but if you are looking for something a bit different, why not try out the four-reel slot ‘Bank Cracker.’ It’s another excellent game from Novomatic and you can bank on it being a real cracker of a slot. At least if you do win some cash from this Bank Cracker, there’s no chance of ending up in jail if getting caught.
Just why we only have four reels in this game I don’t know, perhaps one of the bank robbers stole the other one, who knows? Those four reels and three rows of symbols have just the nine pay-lines on them. Not a fixed amount so it is up to you to decide how many to play and the stake you will be making. To do that, simply use the control buttons that are situated underneath the reels, it’s a fairly easy task. The minimum cost of playing with all pay-lines is 0.09 and the maximum 27. Finding a level to play at isn’t going to be difficult but high rollers might well decide to give this one a miss.
The symbols are rather large and definitely going down the cartoonish route. As for the backdrop to the game, there’s not too much to be seen. The frame appears to be the door of the vault that you need to break into. But for a few security bolts there’s not a great deal on view but with such large symbols it’s not likely to have anything more detailed. Thankfully the gameplay in ‘Bank Cracker’ is a bit more complicated than its look.
Those large symbols are mainly comprised of the tools that your average bank robber must have, well that’s what I’ve been told anyway. Breaking into my brother’s piggy bank is just about my largest full-scale robbery. There’s a flashlight and a stick of dynamite, all I did was just drop the piggy bank on the floor and watch it smash into pieces and grab the loot. Other symbols include cash, a bag full of money, a massive diamond and gold bars My proceeds were about £2.50 I think, my brother never was a great saver.
The wild symbol in this game is the thief himself He has a mask on to protect his identity and a cigar in his mouth to set off the smoke alarm. When this symbol appears, it can substitute for other symbols in order to get you some wins, but it can’t replace the scatter symbols which is the safe that’s just been opened to reveal some gold bars.
Three of the scatter symbols are required in order to trigger the bonus game. Now you enter the vault room and security seems to be on their tea break. There are a number of locked vaults on show and your target is to choose six of them. When the vaults are opened, they will reveal multipliers that will boost your account balance. All rather basic but it can be profitable.
This is another Novomatic slot that includes a gamble feature. It’s not compulsory to play this but if you do, it can lead to you increasing the win you’ve just had. This is the usual game which crops up after a winning combination. Guess the colour of the next card and double your win, get it wrong and wave goodbye to the win. Be careful with this and only gamble small wins. Oh, and trying to go for five correct guesses in a row simply isn’t advisable, try it yourself with a pack of playing cards and see how many times you manage five correct guesses.
Make sure you do a bit of research you start playing this game for real. Look at the paytable which has lots of information about the winning combinations, pay-lines and how the bonus game works. Even more important is having some free games as that will show you just how this game works without you spending any cash at all.
If you fancy a bit more burglary, why not try the Novomatic slot game, ‘Big Robbery.’ That also has the chance to trigger a bonus round where you can choose from a variety of vaults to see what you can win. There’s also ‘Pharaoh’s Tomb’ from Novomatic which offers you one more pay-line but also has a wild, scatter and a gamble feature to try your luck on.
A rather basic game to be fair. It’s ideal perhaps for players who are relatively new to playing slot games. The theme is ok but no that original but it is well adhered to, especially in the bonus game. Shame there’s no free spins around but you can still get some good wins. Be careful as ever with the gamble feature.
