Those of you who have really late nights might have seen Donny Osmond hosting the UK version of the Pyramid Game. It’s a game show that has been a lot more popular in the USA with contestants having to guess words to win prizes. It’s another one of those shows that have so-called celebrities as guests. Now we have the 50,000 Pyramid Slot game from IGT and it’s a slot that is certainly entertaining.
The backdrop to the game has the gameshow set and everything here is bright and cheerful. The game has five reels and three rows of symbols. There are 15 paylines for you to try and get some good wins on.
Symbols include all the goodies you’d go out and buy if successful on the gameshow. They include a large television, a gold watch, a car and an MP3 player. We also get a celebrity star symbol, a symbol with silhouettes of the two contestants, some gold bars and a red Mystery 7.
There’s also the Ten to Ace poker symbols but these join in with the theme with each of them having one of the items big winners will be keen to buy with their prize money. The Ten has the MP3 player, the Jack has a television, the Queen a gold watch, the King is off on a golfing holiday and the Ace a car.
The wild symbol in this game is the 50,000 Pyramid logo. This can get you some welcome wins by substituting for other symbols. If you can get five of this on a payline then you win £50,000 so listen to your heart beating faster when a few of those appear.
It can’t substitute for the Winner’s Circle symbol which is the scatter symbol here and can trigger the bonus game.
Even though this isn’t a complex game, take a good look through the paytable and game rules. That will teach you plenty about the game and really help you when starting to play it. Before putting some real cash in have some free games too to build up your experience of the game.
There’s only the one bonus game here but it is a good one though. To qualify for the Winner’s Circle Bonus, you need to get at least three of the scatter symbols and these can be anywhere on the reels. Once that has been done it’s time to play the Pyramid and you have to choose blocks starting right from the bottom and gradually work your way up to the top. You start off with two free spins and each successful pick will either earn you some more or get you a multiplier.
To help you get to higher levels there are also some of the blocks containing upward arrows. If you’ve been lucky enough to get four or five scatters when triggering the game, there’ll be more of these upward arrow blocks.
When you run out of picks the free spins begin and hopefully you’ll manage to get some good wins, especially if you’ve got some decent multipliers.
I can’t say I’ve ever been entertained that much by the Pyramid Game. This is a bit better though with plenty of chances to get some good wins. The Bonus Game is rather entertaining with the pyramid section before the actual free spins. This is definitely worth giving a go.
