Double Diamond review

IGT’s Double Diamond slot machine is the classic, three reeled slot that dominated Las Vegas casinos in the 1990’s. The online version of Double Diamond has remained true to its original form, and will appeal to slot players old and new with its simplistic playing style and easy to understand theme. U.S. players will most likely be familiar with the game straight away, U.K. players will find its closest resemblance in Bar X which is also available to play online.

Double Diamond Slot Game Play

The playing style of Double Diamond revolves around three reels and one payline, with nothing more than pressing start involved. There are no nudges, no freespins or other types of features. The closest this slot comes to having a bonus is the Double Diamond symbol that acts as a wild and multiplies the win by two. Three Double Diamonds is a jackpot, the value of which will vary depending upon the stake you are playing. Two Double Diamonds on the winline will multiply the win by 4, with a fairly common win of two Double Diamonds and a red seven making an appearance reasonably frequently.

I’m not sure of the thinking behind releasing a classic like this, but I doubt it required much work, with the biggest noticeable change been to the graphics, which are now much more well defined, making for crisp, clear gameplay.
