Cash Coaster review

Any trip to an amusement park has to include a go on the rollercoaster. You need a bit of courage to do so these days because they just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. The theme of this game is the old-style rollercoasters that were full of fun and not quite so frightening. There’s no scary moments in ‘Cash Coaster’ from IGT but hopefully a few loud screams when you get a really good win.

This is a five-reel slot with four rows of symbols and a total of thirty paylines. In the background you can see the old-style wooden rollercoaster that has lots of turns as you slowly go all the way to the top and then accelerate downwards as you scream your head off. You also wish that you hadn’t had that hot dog before going on there. Above the reels you can see the flashy Cash Coaster title and some details of how you can get wins playing the game.

Wins in this game are paid from left to right and right to left. Although there are thirty paylines, the minimum cost of playing the game is £0.40 as you also pay for the Feature Bet. The maximum cost is £200 so it’s a game that is ideal for those playing for fun and high rollers.

The symbols in the game fit in well with its theme of a trip to an amusement park. There’s pretzels, toffee apples, candy floss, popcorn, a choc ice and toffee apples. There’s also five 7’s all in different colours.

The wild symbol here is a rollercoaster that has the word ‘Wild’ lit up. This only appears on the second and fourth reels. It can get you some winning combinations as it substitutes for other symbols in the game. It doesn’t substitute for the Free Spins symbol as that’d make it a lot easier to get yourself into the bonus game. This only appears on the second, third and fourth reels.

Playing the game isn’t too complicated. Even so it’s a good idea to have a good look through the paytable and the game rules. This will really help you fully understand just how the game plays. If you can then have some free games, then that’ll really help you.

All the control buttons are down at the bottom of the screen below the reels. This includes the autospin feature in the bottom right hand corner. This can set between ten and fifty automated spins of the reels, handy If you want a bit of time away from the screen.

Bonus Features

Some Random Wilds will certainly help you get some winning combinations. In the base game these are on the first and fifth reels so keep an eye out for them.

Not surprisingly, three of the Free Spins scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will get you entry into the Free Spins Bonus Round. You’re then taken to another screen where there are three ticket booths for you to choose from. Behind each of these is the number of free spins you can win, these range from four to six. Once that’s out of the way and the bonus round begins, the first and fifth reels are wild for the duration of them. That really increases your chances of getting some good winning combinations. It’s also possible to retrigger the free spins if those scatter symbols make more appearances.

If you love old amusement parks, then this will bring back a fair few memories. There are plenty of ways of getting some good wins in this game thanks to the wild symbols. The bonus game isn’t exactly complicated but the wild symbols can really ensure that you get some good profits out of it.
