Bitten review

Here’s a game that has a real bite to it. This is another slot from IGT that has a dark satanic vampire theme to it. Hopefully though you won’t bite off more than you can chew and get some good wins from ‘Bitten.’

The theme to this game is well adhered to. In the background we have some dark woods that only a fool would enter in the dark. The leaves have all fallen off the trees and there are a few bats flying around, but are they really bats?

The soundtrack to the game is suitably spooky if not spectacular. It didn’t have me reaching for the mute button though, but might on a long session playing the game. This is a five-reel game that has a total of three rows and 20 paylines for you to try and win some money on. Playing the game costs between £0.01 and £100, a reasonable range so you shouldn’t have any problems finding a level to play comfortably at. You can also choose to play this and other slots just for fun of you wish.

There seems to be a fair share amount of blood around on the symbols for this game. They include a wine glass that has red liquid in it that might have come from a neck not a bottle. There’s a candelabra and a door knocker too.

The wild symbol in this game is the Bitten Logo. This can substitute for other symbols (not the Bonus one) to create winning combinations. When it does that all wins are doubled and the symbol has some animation with the female vampire showing us her teeth. She comes out with comments such as “don’t worry I won’t bite” (don’t believe a word of that). There’s also a crypt bonus symbol which is the vampire having a rest in her coffin. This plays an important part in triggering the bonus game. The lower value symbols are the ten to Ace playing card symbols, some of which have a slightly bloody appearance.

Playing the game isn’t difficult at all. All the main control buttons are down below the reels. The paytable button is situated in the top right hand corner of the screen and next to it is the question mark button. This has all the rules for the game. Have a good look through these to get used to how the game plays and then have a few free games before risking your real cash balance.

Bonus Features

Getting some free spins is always welcome and that’s the bonus on offer in ‘Bitten.’ Keep an eye out for the Crypt Bonus Scatter symbols because that’s the trigger for the free spins. They can appear anywhere on the reels to count so that means you can have a chance of getting the bonus without having to keep activating all the paylines.

Just how many free spins you get depends on how many of the Scatters appear on the reels at the end of your spin. Three will see you receiving between five and fourteen free spins, four takes that up to between eight and seventeen and five will have you possibly receiving between ten and twenty. You’re asked to pick a coffin (nice and cheerful eh?) and this decides just how many free spins you’ll receive. Also there’s a multiplier to be decided which could be as low as 1x or as high as 50x. It’s also possible to retrigger the free spins during the bonus round.

This is a clever creepy slot from IGT. The vampire theme is well adhered to and the bonus game can definitely get you some good wins. It’s a bit basic though but good for a short game or two.
