Rainbow Riches Fields of Gold is a £500 jackpot, Irish themed slot machine following on from the themes of previous Rainbow Riches games from Barcrest.
The major difference in Fields of Gold is the lack of progressive pots, which made the original Rainbow Riches so popular. In its place a super feature capable of paying similar high value prizes has taken over.
The paying percentage of Rainbow Riches Fields of Gold is usually 92%, although this can vary depending on location. I would highly suggest in not playing in any location that pays below 92%. The difference in percentage results in less wins, less features and ultimately less enjoyment. Betting shops are mostly 92% – 94% depending on the chosen playing stake. Town arcades such as Cashino Amusements are often on 90%.
The familiarity of Rainbow Riches is known to everyone who has played a £500 jackpot slot machine, and the paylines and most of the wins are no different on this version, but surprisingly there is no Leprechaun feature. Initially this is surprising, considering the popularity of the feature amongst regular players, and the fact that it could pay £500 with just three of the symbols. It has instead been replaced by a Toad Stall feature, which although it can’t pay the jackpot for three or four scattered symbols, it can pay several hundreds of pounds if your luck is in.
Fields of Gold Toad Stalls Feature.
This feature is awarded for three or four scattered toad stalls anywhere in view. Five toad stalls will instantly pay the £500 jackpot, which is good. Once the feature starts, the player is awarded three picks to select one toad stall from a grid of around 20. This will either have a cash value or a fairy. If it is a fairy, she will wave her wand and select several toad stalls for you. If it is cash, you will have two picks remaining, and so on until all of your picks have gone. The cash values are then added up and paid as a total, ending the feature. The fairy may select other fairies hidden behind other toad stalls. If she does, then again, these fairies wave their wands and select more toad stalls without using up any of your picks.
If you manage to clear the entire field of toad stalls with one or more picks remaining, your cash prize is doubled. This is then paid to your bank (or gambled), and the feature ends, returning you to the regular game play.
- Three Toad stalls pays roughly £22 to £106.
- Four Toad stalls pays roughly £40 to £250.
Rainbow Riches: Fields of Gold Wishing Wells Feature.
This is a standard ‘pick me’ feature which is common across the majority of £500 jackpot slot machines. Three or four Wishing Wells anywhere in view awards one pick. Simply select one of the wishing wells to be paid that prize. The feature then ends after the selection. Again, the same as the Toad stalls feature, five symbols will instantly pay the £500 jackpot. The prize values for three wishing wells ranges from £2 up to £25. Four of a kind is often no more than £20 to £80.
Rainbow Riches: Fields of Gold Super Feature
The main feature in the game, often paying the highest amounts is the three coin Rainbow Riches feature that is awarded when three coins land on the centre three reels. This will open up a grid of rotating coins progressing in three levels.
The starting level has the lowest values on one side of a coin, whilst the reverse side is blank. Once all of the coins have stopped rotating, they will accumulate all of the facing cash value. The feature can then either end or continue to level two.
Level two is the same as the first but with higher coin values. Again these are added up as a total (including the coins from level one). The feature can then end or continue to the final level, three. These coins are mostly £5 and £10 values, resulting in a major cash prize once it has ended.
The minimum prize for this feature is around £50, with the maximum been £500.
Rainbow Riches: Fields of Gold Gamble
All wins can be gambled on the popular pie grid gambling board. Any win can be gambled up to the maximum of £500, or collected or part banked at any time. The gamble is random and shows the true odds of hitting the win. You may also change the odds to suit your luck.
Rainbow Riches Fields of Gold is available to play in many locations, including arcades and bookies. Online versions of Rainbow Riches exist, but no Fields of Gold version is available online.
