Who Wants to be a Millionaire review

I would imagine everyone wants to be a millionaire, unless of course they’re a billionaire. This great game from Ash Gaming is faithfully based on the ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire‘ TV quiz show hosted by Chris Tarrant. Ash Gaming have produced several games that are based on TV shows including Britain’s Got Talent and Little Britain, and this is another sure-fire hit. The music is from the TV series which is great news because for starters I love it to bits and secondly I couldn’t imagine any other music being used. The graphics use the blue-neon colour scheme of the show.

The actual game is a five-reel and 20 payline slots game and you can choose both your stake per line and how many paylines you want to activate. The minimum stake per line is £0.01 and the maximum is £25 a line so that’s a total of £500 per spin if you can afford to stake that much. Symbols include the 50/50 logo, the contestant’s chair, ‘Ask the Audience’, ‘Phone a Friend’, a cheque for £1 million, a pound sign, a question mark, the Who Wants to be a Millionaire logo and the TV studio (which is the wild in this game). Thankfully there’s no playing card symbols here and the theme is totally adhered to which is just how it should be in my book. It’s an easy game to operate and you can set up to 25 autospins. Have a look through the paytable and also have some free spins before putting your account balance at risk. This can be played on your PC and also on mobile devices.

Bonus Features

If you want to earn some free spins you need to get three or more of the Free Spin Scatters finish up anywhere on the reels. This gets you not just the free spins, the size of which depends on how many of the scatters you can get on the reels. Three get you ten free spins, four earn you 15 and five give you 20 to do some real damage with. That’s not all you get though because there are also some Shifting Wilds giving you even more chance of getting a healthy bunch of wins. These move from one reel to the left between each of the free spins before finally disappearing. More good news will come your way if you can get three of more Prize Pick Scatters then this gets you an instant win cash prize. The real chance of winning a big prize in this game comes with the Progressive Jackpot Ladder. Again you need some triggering scatters before this can be played and the number you manage decides how many steps up the ladder you go. You then get asked some questions which really are just a progress or collect and end the game option. Collect doesn’t automatically end the game though because you have some lifelines which again reflects the TV show. If your luck is really in then you could win £1 million.

I love the TV show and I’m really impressed with the slots game version of it. The bonus rounds are fun to play and you have some good chances of winning some great cash prizes. It may not be a test of knowledge for the player but it’s still one of the best TV related games around. It’s definitely recommended.
